Hi, my name is Sarah. I'm a qualified counsellor, hypnotherapist, and relaxation coach.
You might be thinking about having counselling, or perhaps friends or family have shared how much it’s helped them. I know from personal experience that taking those first steps can feel overwhelming, and it’s completely normal if it takes a bit of time.
Questions often pop up: What will I talk about? What if I don’t want to discuss something? Is it confidential? Can I change my mind?
I'm here to help clear up some of those worries that might be holding you back.
Counselling is for everyone, and most importantly, you are in control. If it’s not for you, that’s okay. If you change your mind, that’s okay too. Counsellors are just ordinary people with their own challenges and life experiences. What sets us apart is a natural ability to listen and empathise, along with the training and passion to support others in making sense of difficult thoughts and emotions.
Above all, we are here to listen without judgment, so that you can feel heard, perhaps for the very first time.
That first session might feel a little uncomfortable. You’re meeting someone new and trying something unfamiliar. But soon, those nerves begin to ease, and you may find yourself relaxing. When we are given the space to be truly heard, something shifts. We start to feel lighter. We begin to understand why we react the way we do, where certain emotions come from, and how we can better cope.
A counsellor is simply a facilitator, someone to walk alongside you as you learn more about yourself and develop tools to move forward.
I invite you to take that first step. If we don’t try, how will we ever know?
I’d love to hear from you and support you on your journey of self-discovery.
Warmly,
Sarah
